Tata Coffee Limited (formerly known as TCPL Beverages & Foods Limited), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Consumer Products Limited. As per the Scheme of Arrangement, which took effect on January 1, 2024, the plantation business of the erstwhile Tata Coffee Limited was transferred to and vested in TCPL Beverages & Foods Limited. Subsequently, TCPL Beverages & Foods Limited was renamed as Tata Coffee Limited effective February 2, 2024. Tracing its roots to 1922, Tata Coffee is one of the largest integrated coffee cultivation and processing companies in the world and the largest corporate producer of Indian-origin pepper. Tata Coffee produces around 8000 MT of shade grown Arabica and Robusta coffees, around 800 tons of pepper and around 5500 tons of tea from its 19 coffee estates and 6 tea estates covering 10,000+ ha in Karnataka and Anamallais Hills of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Additionally, the Company also produces Monsooned Malabar coffee at its facility in Mangalore where the natural monsoon humidity of the region helps create this unique Indian coffee variety with its characteristic earthy flavour. The Company is the sole and exclusive supplier of Roasted Arabica coffee beans to Tata Starbucks Ltd, India. It exports green coffee to countries in Europe, Asia, Middle East and North America. At 54%, Tata Coffee’s women employees represent a majority of its workforce. The Company’s farms are certified for Rainforest Alliance, SA 8000 and Trustea, and all Arabica plantations are certified for C.A.F.E. Practices, reinforcing its commitment to the people and the environment.

Tata Tea Extractions, Inc. (TTEI), in the US is a wholly owned subsidiary supplying cold water-soluble Instant Tea powders and Instant Green Tea. The TTEI facility also enables the production of value-added products as per specific customer requirements for the Iced Tea beverage industry in North America. The unit is certified under GFSI global food safety standards and all its products are Kosher and Halal Certified.

Amalgamated Plantations Company Private Limited (APPL) is a tea plantation company located in Assam, India, in which Tata Consumer Products Limited has a 41.03% stake. It has operations across 24 tea estates in Assam and North Bengal. The company currently has one fully organic garden — the Hathikuli tea estate located within the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. This garden is now the largest certified organic integrated farm in Asia producing three varieties of tea and black pepper.

KDHP is the first ever employee-owned plantation company in India and nearly all its employees are shareholders.
