The Tetley brand in the UK continues to leverage the appeal of The Tetley Tea Folk with a range of licensed products, including a new range of Gaffer’s Biscuits. These are hitting the market in November and will be distributed initially through Nisa store

Appropriately Gaffer shaped, one of the best loved Tea Folk characters, Gaffer's Biscuits come in three flavours of Choc Chip, Golden Crunch and Ginger. Sold in packs of 6 the biscuits will be available for a promotional price of £1.00 until December 4, after which they will have a recommended selling price of £1.29.

The biscuits will be produced under licence by Yorkshire bakery Grandma Wilds. "These are great tasting biscuits which are perfect for dunking," says Anand Gandesha, Marketing Manager for Tetley. "Tea is one of the top three 'top up' items in convenience stores, so it makes sense to have this range of biscuits available there to partner a good cup of Tetley tea."

Brand consultancy Golden Goose who has an exclusive 3 year licensing deal to represent the Tetley Tea Folk within Licensing in the UK has been responsible for brokering the deal. The launch of Gaffer's Biscuits will be supported by a comprehensive marketing plan including highly visible in-store point of sale activities.
